Property Summary19 Burrowfield Close is a great family house within an easy walk of the hub of Bruton. An end of terrace, solidly built of red brick, fully double glazed and with gas central heating. Its good size rooms offer flexible accommodation and potential for updating or extension, with appropriate planning consents, to make a spacious, modern family home.
A useful lobby leads to the front door and then into the hallway. A spacious and well proportioned living room, with a fireplace and gas fire, has patio doors to the front and French doors at the side into a conservatory. Another good size reception room is currently used as a fourth bedroom, but could be opened out to the dining room to make a large kitchen/dining space. Along the back of the house is a utility room and downstairs loo, the kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is fitted with pine units and the window looks out to the back garden, getting the morning sunshine. This follows on to a good size dining room with a door to the garden. A conservatory has been added to the side of the house offering further living space.
Upstairs, a light and airy landing leads to two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a family bathroom. The windows to the back have views over the roof tops to the surrounding countryside. There are also airing and storage cupboards here.
A generous driveway provides ample parking for several cars and leads to two single garages, and a lawn to the side is bordered by a low stone wall and shrubs. A covered walkway leads past the conservatory to the back garden. The back garden is a good size, enclosed by fencing, with areas of gravel and decking as well as a lawn, and a big shed provides garden storage.
Bruton has several well-known restaurants, pubs and bars including "At the Chapel" and "The Roth Bar" at the Hauser and Wirth Art Gallery. The town also has a doctors surgery, pharmacy, vet, post office, several mini supermarkets, fuel station and numerous independent shops. There are excellent local independent schools including King's School Bruton, Bruton School for Girls and also the excellent state owned boarding/day school, Sexey's Bruton. Bruton has its own primary school and in close proximity are Millfield, Hazelgrove and All Hallows.
Further shopping and recreational actives can be found in Frome, a 20 minute drive, with wonderful artisan markets and a plethora of restaurants and boutiques. The larger Cities of Bath, Bristol, Wells and Yeovil are all within an hours drive. The A303 provides a direct route to London via the M3 and there is a mainline rail service from Bruton to Waterloo and Castle Cary direct to Paddington.
From the centre of Bruton, follow the one-way high street to the end and continue on the A359 towards Frome. Follow on up the hill, bearing left at the junction with Brewham Road. Burrowfield Close is approximately 200m up this hill on the right hand side. No 19 is on the main road just past the close.
