6 Chapel Close in Castle Cary is a deceptively spacious link detached house at the end of a quiet no-through-road backing on to Lodge Hill, walking distance to the town centre.
The front door opens into a lovely double height entrance hall, flooded with natural light from skylight windows above and with stairs leading up to a galleried landing. The hall is central to the house, with rooms leading off to all sides. A generous size study to the front could also make an extra bedroom. There is a bathroom on the ground floor, with a modern white suite with a shower over the bath, as well as a separate downstairs loo. A good-sized coat cupboard is just next to the front door. A separate utility room fitted with base and wall units, plenty of shelving and a sink provides lots of storage and is an ideal laundry area. There is access into the garage from the front hall. To the rear is the kitchen, with modern cream units, eye-level double ovens and ceramic hob and integrated fridge/freezer and space for a breakfast table. A door from the kitchen leads into a sunny conservatory with plenty of room for seating and dining and doors leading out to the garden. This is the perfect spot to relax and take in the lovely view of cows grazing on Lodge Hill. The living/dining room is spacious and light with two windows and French doors to the garden. A fireplace with gas fire provides a cosy focal point and there is lots of room for seating as well as a dining table and chairs.
Upstairs the galleried landing leads to three very good size double bedrooms, all with built-in wardrobe space, and another bathroom. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and two windows make the most of the delightful view.
At the front of the property there is an integrated garage and a gravel parking area for two cars. A lawn enclosed by hedging leads to a footpath round to the back garden. The pretty back garden is secluded, enclosed by mature shrubs and trees, and enjoys a gorgeous outlook up Lodge Hill. At the end of the garden is a paved area, perfect for al-fresco suppers and a useful garden shed. A gate allows access to the field beyond.
