The Shapwick Heath Nature Reserve is nearby where the beautiful starling murmurations can be seen.  There are great pubs in the nearby villages, The Crown at Catcott offering great food, The White Hart in Chilton Polden as well as The Red Tile in Cossington which specialise in pizza. There is also a gym and health club within a few minutes’ drive nearby which also boasts a fabulous beauty salon, The Parlour, which offers a range of quality nail and beauty treatments all set in a luxurious setting, not to mention "Fuelled by Liv" where you can enjoy coffee, cake, brunch and more. "Gwillams of Edington" a family run business which originally specialises in garden machinery but offers so much more including a delicatessen and post office - if you can’t buy it at Gwillams you can’t buy it anywhere, from fine champagne to secateurs to posting a letter, Gwillams has it all. Glastonbury and Bridgwater (Bridgwater College).  Excellent independent schools which include Millfield Senior and Prep School, Wells Cathedral School, Downside and All Hallows prep school as well as Kings College and Queens College in Taunton are within easy reach.
